Terms & disclaimer
Super Simple Site Security Check operates from British Columbia, Canada. These terms explain how you may use the tool and its reports.
Use only with permission
Scan websites you own or have permission to assess. Do not use the tool to target private systems, bypass access controls, disrupt services or conduct unlawful activity. Do not submit credentials or confidential information.
What you receive
The tool provides an automated assessment of selected publicly accessible resources at a particular time. Checks may be incomplete, unavailable or inaccurate. The report does not provide a complete security audit, penetration test or certification.
Your responsibility
Review the report and its limitations before acting. Have changes assessed and tested by your developer, host or a qualified security professional. You remain responsible for your website, its maintenance and any decisions based on the report.
Sharing results
You may download and share your report. Eligible live reports can also be published as summaries using the sharing controls; saved-data previews cannot be published through those controls. Keep its date, scope and limitations visible. Do not alter a badge or describe it as proof that a website is safe, certified or free from vulnerabilities.
Availability and limits
The service is provided as available, without a guarantee of uninterrupted access, complete results or detection of every threat. Access may be limited to prevent abuse. Reports expire, so download a copy if you need to retain it.
Responsibility and applicable rights
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service and results are provided without warranties of accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose. Do not rely on an automated assessment as your only security measure. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded.
About these terms
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, subject to any mandatory rights under other applicable laws. Disclaimer
A public security check is useful evidence, not a guarantee of safety.
Limited scope
The scanner reviews selected public pages, connection protections, software clues and available threat checks. The report identifies which checks returned results and which did not. It does not inspect private server files, signed-in areas or every page and configuration. It cannot confirm protection against every attack, including AI-assisted attacks.
What the score means
A score measures publicly observed protections under the report’s scoring policy. It is not a grade for your website’s overall security. Where uncertainty is recorded, use the score range and read the accompanying limits.
Warnings are not confirmed vulnerabilities
A published software warning does not prove your website is vulnerable. Finding counts are review items, not counts of proven vulnerabilities. Unknown, blocked or unavailable checks are not passes and do not, on their own, establish a fault in your website.
Results describe a moment in time
Websites, software and threat information change. A completed scan or a result with no observed concerns does not mean the website has passed a comprehensive security assessment or that no issues exist. Partial reports must be read with their incomplete checks and coverage limits.
Not professional advice or certification
Reports, shared summaries and badges are for information. They are not legal advice, a security certificate, a compliance assessment or a substitute for professional review. If you suspect an active compromise, contact your host or a qualified security professional.
Share the context
When sharing a report or badge, include the assessment date, public-check scope and limitations. Do not describe the result as a guarantee that visitors or their information are protected.
